The Pillar Bank Account System™

Privacy Notice

Last updated 28 June 2026

This notice explains what personal information we hold when you buy The Pillar Bank Account System, why we hold it, how long we keep it and what rights you have over it. We have kept it short on purpose.

Who we are

We trade as The Pillar Bank Account System and we are the data controller for the information described here. For anything to do with your data, such as a question, a correction or a deletion request, email hello@pillarsystem.co.uk.

What we collect

When you buy the product you give us two things: your name and your email address. That is all. Your payment is handled by our checkout provider, Payhip, and we never see or store your card or bank details.

How we use it

We use your name and email address to deliver your purchase, give you access to it & send you a small number of emails about it: a welcome, a setup prompt & a one-month check-in. We also keep the records we are required to keep for tax. We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.

Our lawful basis

We rely on the contract between us to deliver what you bought, on our legitimate interest to send you a few helpful emails about it & on our legal obligations to keep tax records.

Who we share it with

Two providers help us run the product. Payhip handles your purchase and delivery. Kit (formerly ConvertKit) handles the emails. Both act only on our instructions and only for these purposes.

Analytics

Our website uses privacy-friendly analytics that counts visits without cookies and without identifying you. There is nothing to opt out of.

How long we keep it

We keep your purchase records for six years, which is the period UK tax rules require. We keep your email details for as long as you are subscribed. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or ask us to delete your details sooner by emailing hello@pillarsystem.co.uk.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:

To use any of these, email hello@pillarsystem.co.uk and we will respond within one month.

Complaints

If you think we have mishandled your personal information you have the right to complain to us directly. Email hello@pillarsystem.co.uk and we will look into it. If you are not satisfied with how we deal with it you can then raise it with the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
